Back at the end of the Fall 2013 semester, Dr. Stephen Hegedus announced that he would be leaving his position at UMass Dartmouth and the Kaput Center to pursue a unique opportunity to help lead another university as a Dean. Many of the students, especially the newer first year students who did not have many opportunities to spend time with Dr. Hegedus, presented him with a request to try and find time to talk with and to impart on them as much advice, wisdowm, and knowledge as he could before the end of the year. Dr. Hegedus and the students decided together that he would conduct a Trilogy Lecture Series in the Spring of 2014 in which he offered three lectures in the following areas:
1. Creativity and Identity (Friday, March 14, 3:30-5pm, Kaput Center)
2. The future of Technology in Education (Friday, April 4, 3:30-5pm, Kaput Center)
3. The future of Mathematics Education: Issues of Social Justice, Democratizing access, Diversity and Standards (Friday, April 18, 3:30-5pm, Kaput Center)
Below, you will find links to videos of each of the lectures, as well as the slides pertaining to the respective lectures.
